In an effort to continue providing affordable solutions to the Electrical Industry, Allied Tube & Conduit® developed Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) as an alternative to Galvanized Rigid Steel Conduit (GRC, RMC) for those applications that need more protection.

Allied Tube & Conduit® makes standard Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) and the patented labor-savings IMC Kwik-Couple® alternative. To complete your raceway system, just use Allied Tube & Conduit®’s rigid elbows, couplings, and nipples (ECN) with your IMC raceway.

Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) provides a lighter weight, lower-cost solution for jobs that require the same strength as galvanized rigid steel conduit. Allied Tube and Conduit®’s Intermediate Conduit is hot galvanized using Allied’s patented Flo-Coat® process and is coated on the inside with a specially designed coating which maximizes corrosion resistance and makes wire-pulling easier.

The National Electric Code (NEC) recognizes Allied Tube & Conduit®‘s Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) for the same uses as rigid conduit.

Allied Tube & Conduit®’s Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) with Rigid Elbows, Couplings and Nipples (ECN) create an Electrical Raceway System recognized as an equipment grounding conductor which provides shielding from electromagnetic interference (EMI). IMC conduit is a raceway solution which allows for future wiring changes and provides excellent mechanical protection to conductors and cables.

Allied Tube & Conduit®’s mission is to be the leader in providing solutions and more choices for customers. In our continuing commitment to provide customers with innovative solutions Allied Tube developed Kwik-Couple® Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC); a labor savings alternative with an integral Kwik-Couple® on one end. Simply line up the ends of the conduit and spin the patented Kwik-Couple® coupling. To complete your raceway system try our special order Galvanized Rigid Elbows with the Allied Tube and Conduit® IMC Kwik-Couple® alternative.

In our commitment to provide superior service and value to customers, Allied’s Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) is stocked at distribution centers across the country. Allied’s Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) and rigid Elbows, Couplings, and Nipples (ECN) are part of the Atkore Electrical Raceway portfolio of products and can be co-loaded with many of our other Allied Tube & Conduit® and Atkore Electrical Raceway products.

  • IMC Conduit

    IMC Conduit

Allied IMC is precision manufactured for economical protection and long lasting value for the electrical raceway system. Allied IMC is as strong, lighter in weight, and less expensive than Rigid.

  • Kwik-Couple IMC

    Kwik-Couple® IMC Steel Conduit

Factory-installed couplings on IMC conduit, 30% lighter than GRC, eliminate the need to purchase, store, & install separate couplings. Installation is faster. Both material & labor costs are reduced.

  • Super Kwik-Couple GRC or IMC

    Super Kwik-Couple® IMC

Super Kwik-Couple IMC is a revolutionary product with an integrated coupling that connects to GRC, EMT, or other IMC whether it's threaded or unthreaded.

  • Kwik-Couple Elbows

    Kwik-Couple® Elbows

The factory installed Kwik-Couple is offered on any of the Galvanized Rigid Steel Conduit in 45°, 90° and 90° Large Radius Elbows. Can be used with IMC or GRC conduits, couplings or nipples.
